New to the District

*Important Please Read*

If this is your first time enrolling in the Coos Bay School District (CBSD), including charter schools and alternative, complete the steps below. If you had a student in Lighthouse or may have had a child in the CBSD at any point, contact your school FIRST to see if you need to reactivate a ParentVUE account. Each parent only needs one ParentVUE account.

What you need to get started:
1. Access to an internet-connected desktop or laptop computer. iPads, iPhones, Android tablets and Android phones won’t work, a Desktop/Laptop running Windows, Mac, ChromeOS or Linux is required.

2. Email account. Don’t have one? Get a free one through Gmail or Outlook
3. Go to
  • Click More Options
  • Click Create a New Account
  • Carefully answer the three questions. The last question may be a "yes" if it is the first time you have requested access.
4.  Once you've accepted the privacy policy and completed the required fields you should get a Complete Your Account Creation email. You must go to your email and click the link to activate your account. If you don't see the email, it may have gone to your junk box.
5.  When you click the link from the email you will be prompted to create your User ID and Password. (Be sure to keep this information available so that you can log into your account in the future.) Click Save and Continue.
6.  Select the Registration School Year. Click Begin New Registration.
7.  Enter in all required field locations, Review and Submit.
