Online Registration Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Online Registration is temporarly disabled while the district makes necessary updates. Please contact your school office to update your child's information or register a new student. Visit the 2020-2021 Registration Information tab for information for next year. 
Q:​ Can I access the Online Registration system from my smartphone or tablet?
A. Yes. The Online Registration is best accessed from a desktop computer, but there is an app: Once you have a ParentVue Account you can use either the IPhone App or Android App. If you are new to the district and have never had children in the Coos Bay School District, go to New to District. Please note, if you have or had a child in the district, please contact your school if you do not know your login information.
Q:​​ How secure is the online enrollment?
A. Online Registration uses a 32-bit, secure socket layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect information. The technology is similar to that used in other industries such as health care and banking. 
Q:​  Can I register more than one student?
A. Yes. Parents can register multiple new students in a household at one time.
Q:​  Can I start my registration or verification now and finish it later?
A. Applications can be saved if more data entry is needed and reopened at a later time with the created username and password.
Q:​ Once my application is submitted can I go back and make changes?
A. No. In order to make changes to a submitted application, you will have to notify the school. The office staff can then make the changes for you.  Once your registration or verification has been accepted, then you can log in again and re-submit to make additional changes throughout the year.
Q. How do I scan the required supporting documents if I do not have a desktop scanner?
A. ​You can capture documents by taking a picture of the paperwork with your smartphone/tablet and email the image file to yourself. There are also several, no-cost PDF Scanner apps available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
Q. Why have I not received a confirmation email after submitting my child's enrollment nor a status email on the application?
A. If you have not received an email confirmation after submitting the enrollment, please review your junk or spam folder and mark email addresses as safe. 
Q. How do I access the parent portal, ParentVUE, now that my child has been enrolled with the Coos Bay School District?
​A. As a Coos Bay School District parent you can use the same user name and password you used to access Online Registration to log into your ParentVUE account. You can view your child's calendars, attendance, schedules, report card, school information, emergency contacts, and for high school and middle school students, course history and grade book information.​
