Adaptive Life Skills
The Adaptive Life Skills program goal is to provide equitable highly effective instruction to students with severe disabilities so that they will achieve maximum independence and positive quality of life. South Coast Education Service District (SCESD) oversees the implementation of the program throughout our district.
Our Life Skills program features a mix of small group instruction and inclusion in regular classroom settings. The emphasis is on communication skills and everyday living. Skills range from learning how to cross streets to managing budgets to employment opportunities. We have a very enthusiastic staff that provides exceptional support for our students.
