Coos Bay Community Outreach Didn't Go on a Freeze

Thanks to the Marshfield High School Leadership class, the ARK was able to distribute thanksgiving holiday meal baskets to 32 families. For the Christmas season, the ARK has 139 children and youth on their holiday list with over 400 presents total. It was a community effort and ARK staff would not have been able to get gifts without help from Madison and Marshfield High School staff, the Coos Bay Garden Club, the MHS Charity Program, Bus Jam, and Tree of Joy. The MHS Charity Program has been hard at work wrapping and organizing all of the presents as well. In addition, a private community member donated holiday meal boxes to all 60 families for the two week break. This year, the community has really come together to bring joy to so many children and youth this holiday season.
