The Marshfield High School Equestrian team is sending an early message to the rest of the state.
In their second meet of the year last weekend, the equestrian team competed in a meet with more than 100 participants, with the Marshfield team placing second out of 20 teams.
That finish puts the Marshfield team in first place overall two meets into the season.
The equestrian team was not the only one to find success last weekend. The Upbeats dance team competed at Thurston High School this past weekend and finished in 1st place.
