Marshfield High School celebrated its winter sports teams Wednesday night, with athletes honored for basketball, wrestling, swimming, cheerleading and Marshfield’s dance team, the Upbeats.
With Athletic Director Greg Mulkey serving as MC, coaches handed out awards for the top players at the main gym before each teach broke out for individual team awards.
The awards handed out Tuesday were as follows:
Boys Swimming
First team Special District 2
4x50 meter relay team of Quinton Kloster, Markus Kliewer, Jack Waddinton and Trevor Robbins.
Markus Kliewer – 500-yeard freestyle
Quinton Kloster – 100-yard backstroke
Jack Waddington – 100-yard breaststroke
Second Team Special District 2
Jack Waddinton – 200-yard individual medley
Quinton Kloster – 200-yeard freestyle
Markus Kliewer – 100-yard butterfly
OSAA State Awards
200-yard medley relay of Kloster, Kliewer, Waddington and Trevor Robbins placed fifth
Marcus Kliewer – fourth in 500-yard freestyle
Jack Waddinton – fourth in 100-yard breaststroke
400-yard freestyle relay team of Robbins, Kliewer, Kloster and Waddington placed fourth.
