April is National Poetry Month, and the Coos Bay Public Library is closing the month by hosting a workshop for reading and writing poetry.
The workshop will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 27 in the Myrtlewood Room at the library.
Local poet and author Annis Cassells will lead the workshop participants in exploring poetry and the elements of this craft. Participants will then use this understanding to craft a poem of their own.
All ages 12 and up are invited to join in the magic of poetry on this special evening.
