The Marshfield boys golf team is headed to the state championships, joining the Marshfield girls, who qualified last week.
Led by senior Oscar Day, the Marshfield boys finished third in the Special District 2 competition in Florence last week to earn an automatic berth in the state tournament.
Day posted rounds of 83 and 82 to place fourth overall. Two freshmen, Mason Aurdahl and Enoch Niblett, also had big tournaments for Marshfield. Aurdahl had rounds of 99 and 88 to place 12th overall while Niblett had rounds of 94 and 99 to finish 16th.
Sophomore Kody Chandler had rounds of 102 and 98 to place 21st and sophomore Eli Luckman had rounds of 98 and 106 to finish 25th.
North Bend won the district title with Cascade second. All three teams will compete in the Class 4A state tournament.
