Continue to support the 2017‐2018 Board goal with needed resources, curriculum, professional development, and implementation
tools needed for measuring progress.
In order to improve student achievement, math instruction in Coos Bay will incorporate intentionally the inclusion of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices. Professional development and evaluation will align with this effort.
The district will continue to assess progress towards effective mathematics teaching through teacher self‐evaluation, administrator evaluation, participation in professional development and external evaluation of district‐wide adoption.
