Licensed Evaluation Plan for 2023-2024

Probationary Years 1-3

  1. Complete Self-Assessment
  2. Complete Goal form with 2 (SLGGs) and (1) Professional Growth Goal
  3. Three (3) Observations- all with written feedback- 2 informal- one formal
  4. Interim Conference-
    • Discuss SLGGs, professional practice, professional responsibilities, and goals for next phase of evaluation. Review Progress toward Professional Growth Goal. Discuss additional support needed
  5. End of Year Self-Assessment
  6. Summative Discussion- resulting in Administrator scoring

 

Licensed Cycle A

  1. Complete Goal form with 2 (SLGGs) and 1 Professional Growth Goal
  2. Two (2) Observations- all with written feedback- 1 informal- one formal
  3. End of Year Self-Assessment
  4. Summative Discussion- resulting in Administrator scoring

 

Licensed Cycle B

  1. Licensed Educator Reviews last year’s goals and evaluation, or self-assessment, if applicable.
  2. Completes Goal form and with one (1) Professional Growth goal related to the Standards of Professional Practice and one SLGG
  3. Summative Discussion- resulting in Administrator scoring

 

Probationary status- All new to the district educators will generally be on Probationary status

for three consecutive years, then will move into an off-year Cycle (B), during year 4 of employment.

 

Teacher (A) is considered On Cycle and will be evaluated

Teacher (B) is Off Cycle and will not be formally observed (unless by request)

 

NOTES:

  • Plan of Assistance not required for Probationary teachers; (will still be considered best practice for Year 3 probationary teachers who may be in need of support)
  • Universal Observation form for all licensed educators
  • Specialists will have unique self-assessments based on their own standards of practice
