Special Programs
Welcome to the Special Programs Department! Coos Bay Schools are dedicated to providing an excellent education for ALL students in our district. We are proud of our professional, dedicated staff of over 50 special education teachers, assistants, nurses, school psychologists, homeless and Indian education liaisons, case managers, interpreters and speech pathologists! We work closely with parents, general education teachers, and administrators to make sure that we develop the best possible program for our students with special needs of all kinds. The students who are eligible for special services are also on our athletic teams, in our school plays, and involved in all other extracurricular activities. We’re proud of our students and the staff’s dedication to providing the best possible programs for EVERYONE!
